Terms of Engagement for Private Lessons
1. Payment - For single lessons payment is made by cash on the day or by doing a bank transfer preferably BEFORE the lesson. My bank details will be on the confirmation email. For packages, this is made at point of sale.
2. Adequate notice for cancellation – This must be received at least 48 hours before the day on which the lesson slot was booked otherwise the slot must be paid. If you have purchased a pre paid package, the payment will have automatically be taken and will not be refunded.
3. Rescheduling - If a lesson has to be cancelled without giving 48 hours notice but can be rescheduled within 5 working days, providing my diary is clear, the cancellation fee will be waived. This does not apply to 'no shows'. If the same lesson is re-scheduled 3 times using the online platform whether or not it is within the 48 hour cancellation period you will not be able to re-schedule for a 4th time unless you pay for your lesson in advance. Once re-scheduled for a 4th time, this lesson MUST be attended and cannot be refunded if re-scheduled even if more than 48 notice is provided.
4. Timing - Teaching ends a few minutes before the end of the lesson to allow for conclusion of the lesson.
5. Attendance - Please try not to arrive early as I don’t have a waiting room. However if you do arrive early and it’s raining or cold outside then please buzz and if I hear the buzzer, I’ll let you in. Thank you for your consideration.
6. Lateness/Failure to attend – If you arrive late, your lesson will still end at the scheduled time. Such loss of time will not be made up at another time. If you miss your lesson slot entirely, payment will be expected (or automatically deducted in the case of pre-paid packaged) despite whether or not you can re-schedule within 7 days.
7. Parents, it is not possible to wait in my flat while your child is having a lesson, however I am happy if you'd like to sit in on the first lesson to ensure your child is comfortable. Also, please be on time to collect your child.
